WHAT WE CAN CHROME

We can chrome a wide range of rigid 3D-printed materials, including:

  • PLA

  • ABS

  • PETG

  • Resin prints (SLA / DLP)

  • Nylon (rigid variants)

  • Carbon-fiber reinforced filament prints

  • Rigid foam props with a hardened shell

  • Multi-part model kits & builds

If it’s rigid and fits within 2.5 ft³, we can chrome it.

WHAT WE CANNOT CHROME

To maintain quality, we cannot chrome:
 

  • Flexible TPU or rubber-like filaments

  • Soft foams or pieces without a hardened shell

  • Any part that bends or compresses

  • Live mechanical joints (unless separated first)

  • Oversized pieces exceeding 2.5 ft³

  • High-heat components

SIZE LIMITS & TURNAROUND

Maximum part size:
Up to 2.5 ft³ per piece.
 

Turnaround time:
Generally 1–2 weeks, depending on:

  • the printing material

  • surface quality (layer lines, seams)

  • how much smoothing/prep is needed

  • complexity of the part

  • chosen chrome colour

  • number of components in the project
     

Prep is often required.
3D prints usually need sanding, filler primer, sealing, or surfacer coating to remove layer lines before chrome application.

We’ll assess your print and explain what’s needed to achieve a flawless mirror finish.
